The volunteer projects generally require a minimum commitment of 4 weeks so the volunteer's presence is less transitional. Depending on your level of Spanish a course of 2 or 4 weeks is recommended before your placement. Loved the classes and the town of Cusco rocks!! Best time ever and can't thank Volunteer Work Latin America enough for all their coordination and can really recommend staying at a hostfamily as they really showed me around Cusco and got to know a lot about the culture.
