Hola Carol. We do suggest to study some Spanish before starting to work at your volunteer project in Quito. The fastest and most effective way (let alone the most fun) is of course to do it in the country itself. We generally require a 4 week Beginners Spanish course to get you up to speed. The Spanish School in Quito we work with has highly qualified native teachers and is located in a popular neigborhood not too far from the various projects (only a short busride away)! The residence is a great place to meet other likeminded volunteers and students. If you like to get some more references, photos or any info just shoot us a message at info4@volunteerworklatinamerica.org Thanks!

Hi Bruce! Quito is indeed one of the most cultural, flamboyant and worthwhile volunteer destinations in South America! Yearround a great place to visit with an average temp of around 23 C. We offer a discount for volunteer placements in the months of November and December of $ 200 USD off!
